I saw this link over at Little Green Footballs that directed me over to Pajamas Television.
There, I watched a 17-minute video hosted by Bill Wittle discussing what Jon Stewart had to say recently about how President Harry Truman was a war criminal for allowing the two atomic devices to be used on Japan near the end of World War II.
And it was great to have Bill Wittle confirm what I've always remarked about on the anniversary of the nuking of Hiroshima: it was done for a good reason.
And the part that confirmed what I'd always said was that Bill's father himself was 'saved' by the bombing of both Hiroshima and of Nagasaki; Bill's father was in the U.S. Army in Europe and would have participated in the invasion of the Japanese home islands like my father would have.
It's nice to have something I've speculated about in history to be confirmed.
