Perhaps the merit of his winning the prize was based on the steps he is taking to put America back in good standing with the rest of the world. The fact he has tried to extend a hand to Iran (whether chicken hawks agree with this or not) when the last 8 years has been nothing but hawking by a corrupt administration, the fact he, yes, is trying to squash this ridiculous idea of unilateralism.
