Fact Check: Obama on AfghanistanOh yeah....what a way to gain favor and support from the military block of voters.....idiot.WASHINGTON - Democrat Barack Obama said it, the Republican Party pointed out in a screaming headline Tuesday that highlighted the presidential candidate's comments on Afghanistan and the killing of civilians.
Behind the scenes, Obama's rival campaigns buzzed about his statement uttered Monday during a campaign stop in New Hampshire when he was asked about his plan to move troops into Afghanistan.
"We've got to get the job done there and that requires us to have enough troops so that we're not just air-raiding villages and killing civilians, which is causing enormous problems there," Obama said.
I haven't really thought much about Obama, nor have I thought that he'd make it though the Democratic primaries let alone getting in the the White House - the guy is too young and from what I've read, he doesn't have much of any experience. But with 'Butt Monkey' launching statements like this, at least people will recognize his name immediately.
