Haven't been feeling well enough to blog about anything in particular lately....
The one thing that I can blog about for the moment is that the family just got back from spending a few days up in Los Angeles with some really good friends from Ohio. They flew in and we caravaned up to LA and went to Knott's Berry Farm and had a really good time. The best part of the trip was seeing my best friend Bob and his family.
Currently, I'm trying to get over a nasty head cold that's got one of my ears clogged up - as a result, I tend to walk in circles. Once I'm feeling better I'll try to get back to blogging about some of the inane crap happening around the world and especially in Washington.
Until then - keep a sense of humor about yourself and don't contribute to the stupid sh!t happening in the world today.

Heads Up Al Gore
One of the local weathermen that broadcasts here in San Diego is John Coleman. Normally, most people wouldn't care too much as to what a local weatherman has to say, but the interesting thing about John is that he was the founder of The Weather Channel.
John started TWC and left for his reasons, but he's still tied to it. And like any parent seeing their children going 'down the wrong path' (and getting into trouble), he's going to speak out about what's wrong with the picture in their kid's life and what's going wrong in the weather network he created is that it is also getting sucked up into the 'Global Warming' frenzy.
John recently spoke to the San Diego Chamber of Commerce and here's what he had to say - John Coleman's Comments Before the San Diego Chamber of Commerce

I hadn't caught this -- thank you!
While we humans haven't helped the situation at all and we HAVE contributed to the pollution (we can't deny that), we alone are not responsible for the chances in climate. The earth has a natural rhythm to it, certain patterns. And there's no denying the data uncovered by scientists that show these patterns over eons. There's a link somewhere on my site to a NatGeo article about this. I'm too lazy to look for it though.
Thanks for pointing out JC's comments. I'm going to read the rest. Hot diggity! There's a breeeeeeeeeeze!

Early Surprise
I received an early Father's Day present a few days back and it wasn't a tie.
My wife had informed my nonchalantly last week that she's already purchased my Father's Day present and that I was really going to like it; I couldn't even begin to guess what it was and I was going to have to just wait and see.
Well, both she & my daughter thought that I would appreciate what it was and getting it early; the reason for the early delivery was that all of us would be out of town on Father's Day - we've got friends coming in from Ohio and we're all making a road trip up to Los Angeles for a couple of days of tourist-type stuff.
I received a Father's Day card which was totally cool by itself and inside the card were three tickets to see "Weird Al" Yankovic on June 30.
Now, there might be some of you that aren't "Weird Al" fans and if so, it's your lose.
On the other hand, there are those of you that think "Weird Al" is the best and I'm in total agreement with you.
I've never seen "Weird Al" in concert before and the last concert that I went to was to see Van Halen back in the late-90's. Seriously....it's been that long.
And the really nice part is that all three of us will be going and it'll be the first exposure to "Weird Al" that my daughter will have - he's part of the 'Old Rock' regime that we're teaching her so that she'll be properly taught by the time she gets into college.
Additionally, the wife said that she'd be putting some money aside so that I can get the total concert experience by getting me the ever-coveted concert t-shirt that will allow me to 'brag' about seeing "Weird Al" in concert.

No Boundaires
I'm not a big 'fan' of Senagtor Ted Kennedy, but getting this introduced into your life just sucks ass....big-time ass.
Whether you agree with his politics or not, don't go around cheering at his illness. It's stupid, it's classless, and it makes the rest of us who normally oppose his politics look like morons. Cancer doesn't know political boundaries.
Take him into your thoughts & prayers.
(via PDA)
UPDATE: Sen. Kennedy underwent a three hour operation yesterday to remove the tumor that was discovered recently.
Wow...that's fast & aggressive. The reports say that the surgery went 'well' and I'm certain that there a lot of people besides myself that are saying "quick recovery Ted"!

Cancer knows no political boundaries and I feel for anyone who has to endure such a diagnosis.
How YOU feelin', my friend?

|| Posted by nunya, May 24, 2008 03:39 AM ||Nunya, what exactly are you talking about, and what might it have to do with the topic Mikey posted?
|| Posted by Tetzman, May 24, 2008 04:52 PM ||Infection? Not good. Elevate that arm, take your meds, and BE WELL! /nursey lecture
|| Posted by Da Goddess, May 26, 2008 03:43 AM ||Tetzman,
The timing of his post came after Michael Savage decided to play a dead kennedys song of course mocking Ted Kennedy. I don't care of Savage is just a shock jock, there is a limit that needs to be put on this kind of shit that goes beyond bad taste. Sure, it is free speech, but I view this as poorly as protesting the war at a soldiers funeral. Savage should be pulled from the air.
|| Posted by nunya, May 27, 2008 08:17 AM ||DG - believe it or not, NO ONE at the hospital told me to elevate that arm when I got home. Seriously....no one. So I elevated it and Shazam! the swelling is down. It's almost back to normal now.
Nunya - I know what you're talking about.
I'm not a big Savage fan, but I did catch a segment the other day where he's trying to differentiate his reaction by saying he's attacking Kennedy's policies & legislation and not attacking the man himself.
Personally to me - it's hard to believe Savage on this particular issue.
