I wasn't really surprised when the Democratic Party became the majority party in the House of Representatives.
I mean.....jeez - I purposefully switched parties a few months back because of my personal disgust with the GOP. Apparently, there was a lot more of that going around the nation last Tuesday. But hey.....you reap what you sow.
However, the one thing that caught me off guard today was when Michelle Malkin posted something that never crossed my mind:
Ugh.
That's gonna take time to get used to....

Hey Bro, just wanted to stop by on "The Birthday" and say hello.
On another note, I also want to say that this is the time for "Partnership", not "Partisanship".
Let's all work together to make this country as great as it can be.
Semper Fidelis!

Personally, I recomend following the example set for us by the left over the last 6 years or so.
|| Posted by rsp, November 10, 2006 08:31 PM ||You think you had a shock?
I bet King George was taking his favorite relaxer, 5-fingers of Jim Beam. Maybe more.
Personally, I wish Karel Rove had taken 5-fingers of arsenic.
|| Posted by Tecknomage, November 13, 2006 12:54 PM ||Shouldn't be surprised. Mikey, you should know this. What's one of the premiere laws of physics? For ever action.... This election was a prime example of that law. People were responding to so much that the current admin and Congress failed to do, such as immigration reform, winning the war in Iraq, getting the deficit in hand, cutting government spending, behave in a law abiding manner. Additonally, you may not have noticed (but I hope you did) that Bush essentially rescinded our right of habeas corpus with this last round of "security" measures.

Vote Tomorrow!
I never did get around to giving my opinion(s) on the assorted propositions on California's ballot for tomorrow.
I know.....I suck.
Here's the basic thought though: if it's a bond looking for money to do something "good", vote NO.
But here's the really important thing I wanted to say: at least get out there and VOTE!

|| Posted by nunya, November 8, 2006 10:24 AM ||Hey, Mikey! It's your old friend Alan! You know, from the activist San Diego days.
Well, it looks like I was right about being a complete pedophile.
I still need a serious ass-whooping.
|| Posted by Alan, November 8, 2006 04:02 PM ||And this asshole above is what gives those left of the repugs, a bad name. People like Mikey and his moron buddies over at dogshit diaries taek comments like this moron's above and attach it to the majority of anyone who is non-repug.
|| Posted by nunya, November 8, 2006 04:24 PM ||I detest the GOP. I have foor nearly 10 years now when I dropped away from the party after learning more of what a dispicable man Regan was. I detest for what the GOP stands for (business and self interest) and I detest it even more for what it has become - controlled by a neoconservative minority where the rest of thr GOP tows the line.
But never, have I disrespected the men and women in uniform. Unfortunatley people like Mikey and Geoff tend to think along the lines of with the GOP or with the terrorists. There are no in betweens.
Please don't take this win by the democrats as anything but what it is, a return to checks and balances. It iis not a win for any terrorists nor is it a snub of the troops. If you listend to the likes of Rush Dumball or Shithead Hannity, or Nazi Miike Savage, or people like mikey and geoff, they would have you beleive this.
Don't. Understand that there is a greater magnitude to this win. This win will block Bush from pushing some of the most anti-american anti-progress and pro-big business pro-fundamentalistic policies this country has even seen. His politcal capital has been spent and now he has too play by the rules.
George Allen (aka Sen. Macacawicz) is expected to concede today. This effectively gives the dems complete control of congress. If this doesn't send a clear and strong message to washington that is neocon bullshit must stop and stop now, then someone or some group will need to bring criminal charges against BushCo.
