Party Alert!

My wife & friends are putting together a party - part 'welcome back Mikey'...part 'thank you to those that helped out' party.

If you're one of those people that helped out my family while I was doing recon in la-la land, send me an e-mail at mikey-AT-madmikey-DOT-mu-DOT-nu with the following info:

Name(s) of those attending.
Address where the invitation can be sent via snail mail.
Phone number to confirm.

Put PARTY in the Subject line so that I'm not an idiot and accidentally delete it.

NOTE: The information sent to us will remain PRIVATE.

The party will be held here in San Diego (obviously), specifically in the Scripps Ranch area; some of our friends are holding the party at their community rec room. There will be a pool and a BBQ although I don't know if it will be warm enough to swim....but that's a judgement call that you'd have to make.

The date of the party will be on Saturday, April 1^st and will be from approximately 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

If you'd like to attend, please let us know so that we know how many will be showing up lest we plan badly.

Once again, thank you to all that assisted my family during this emergency.

Die You Muther!

Here's one scumbag that's getting exactly what he deserves:

Carlie Brucia's Killer Sentenced to Death for 11-Year-Old's Murder

SARASOTA, Fla. -- The 39-year-old man convicted of abducting, raping and killing 11-year-old Carlie Brucia was sentenced Wednesday to death by lethal injection.

"The scales of life and death tip unquestionably toward death," said Circuit Judge Andrew Owens.

Before announcing Joseph Smith's death punishment on the charge of first-degree murder, the judge said Smith faces life in prison without the possibility of parole for the assault and kidnapping of his victim.

Owens then agreed with the jury's earlier 10-to-2 recommendation that be executed. Smith showed no emotion as Owens read either sentence.

"Carlie endured unspeakable trauma, which began at the time of her kidnapping," the judge said before announcing the sentence. "The image of the defendant taking her arm and leading her away no doubt will forever be etched in our minds."

Actually, he deserves to be raped repeatedly by many angry gorillas....

Local Outreach

Anyone in San Diego or familiar with the area know of a repair shop that has a good/great reputation for working on bass guitars?

The one place that I was aiming for won't return my phone calls.......they're about an angstrom from being on my 'list'. And I'm talking about a list that's maintained by an Irishman that can become quite put out when not treated nice-like.....

UPDATE: Finally got in touch with the shop owner and got a price quote for the necessary work....

...the suck part is that it'll have to wait.

Oh well - at least I know that the shop is still in business.

WHO: Anyone who supports our country, our military, and their mission (sponsored by San Diego Protest Warrior).

WHAT: A peaceful demonstration of support and gratitude for our armed forces.

WHEN: Saturday, March 18, 2006, 1 to 4pm.

WHERE: San Diego, west end of Balboa Park, near Sixth Avenue and Maple St. (map)

WHY: To bear witness to the heated rhetoric of the so-called 'peace movement,' and to provide a calm rebuttal to their anti-American message.

HOW: Bring American flags (or flags of our allies) of any size. Signs expressing support or gratitude for our military are also welcome.

I'm going to be there at least for a while......I'll be in charge of sitting on my butt. And I'll be bringing my larger-than-life flag cause these anti-war folks here in SD cannot stand seeing so many American flags - I'm not kidding....it's like vampires & crosses.

Come join SDPW and others in supporting our military for doing it's job and showing these......poor, ignorant souls that their shrill voices aren't the only ones with an opinion.

'Oh Those Poor Illegals!!'

'Illegal runs red light,' kills popular principal
Five suspected illegal aliens are in custody after the pickup truck they were in smashed into a car yesterday in suburban West Palm Beach, Fla., killing a popular school principal.

Margaret "Peggy" Campbell, 62, principal at Western Pines Community Middle School, suffered fatal injuries when her four-door Subaru collided with a Dodge Ram.

While the accident is still under investigation, police say preliminary indications suggest the driver of the pickup truck was at fault, for running a red light and striking Campbell's car, which was making a U-turn.

The pickup's driver, 30-year-old Cesar Majia, and his four passengers were taken into custody by U.S. Border Patrol and charged with illegal entry into the country.

Paul Miller, a spokesman for the Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office, said Majia was in possession of a Mexican driver's license, though the nations of origin for all the male passengers were not immediately known.

This type of crap has got to be stopped.....I'm thinking that a little Hollywood should be applicable here....something like this. Let the police and Border Patrol carry the necessary tools to not allow innocent people to be killed because of high-speed chases....just cut the fleeing vehicle into multiple pieces.

And something else that this has an impact on - this principal that was popular with her school kids.....they suffer too. How do you justify a needless death such as hers to children without telling them the blatant truth?

Something to think about the next time a border security issue comes up in a referendum vote...
