Anyone in San Diego or familiar with the area know of a repair shop that has a good/great reputation for working on bass guitars?
The one place that I was aiming for won't return my phone calls.......they're about an angstrom from being on my 'list'. And I'm talking about a list that's maintained by an Irishman that can become quite put out when not treated nice-like.....
UPDATE: Finally got in touch with the shop owner and got a price quote for the necessary work....
...the suck part is that it'll have to wait.
Oh well - at least I know that the shop is still in business.

My bass isn't some $4000 special/custom job - it's just a Japanese made Fender Precison Bass and it's my first and only bass. I want it treated like it was a member of my family - it's that important to me.

Just got the response, but I might not have to trouble him after all - the bass shop that I was trying to get in touch with contacted me yesterday - the cost for what I need done is about what I predicted.
Now I just need to clear it with the wife and I'll be chugging along nicely.
