President Obama recently shifted authority for approving sales to China of missile and space technology from the White House to the Commerce Department -- a move critics say will loosen export controls and potentially benefit Chinese missile development.The president issued a little-noticed "presidential determination" Sept. 29 that delegated authority for determining whether missile and space exports should be approved for China to Commerce Secretary Gary Locke.

Dn't you find it amazing this whole "america is the only on allowed to have nukes because we are peace keppers and would NEVER use them" argument has no merit when in fact, we were the ONLY nation to ever use them?
I mean Mike, seriously, how can you sit there being one of this assholes who piss and whine and crow and hem and haw that the world needs are democracy and the world needs out capitalism, but when countries finally DO get those things and either we don't like the outcome of their democracy or we don't like the fact that they do capitalism better than we do, we cry foul?
Please mikey, pull this bullshit brainwashed semper fi rah rah rah apple pie and baseball patriotism out of our ass and head, and realize that while we are a great country, we are far far from perfect.

The objection I have to this isn't from keeping China from having nukes - they've already got them - it's from helping China from improving their delivery systems.

Again, it's isn't about they're ability to do capitalism better than we do (maybe you're mistaking another bloggers argument(s)) it's about giving them improved capability of delivering nuclear warheads on target.

This is what I've always tried to say to people such as yourself that would paint the U.S. as the Fourth Reich - we're a great nation (hell, just look at the numbers of people trying to get into the country each year!) but we're not without our faults. And one of those faults is allowing Obama to get elected when he wasn't better qualified IMHO.
