Less than one hour for the return of SciFi Channel's Battlestar Galactica!!
(CORRECTION: Sorry, it's two hours until Galactica - I forgot that Doctor Who was also on tonight)
The whole family has been waiting for this for quite a while; the kid won't be able to watch tonight as she is on a Girl Scout camping trip for the weekend.
The one 'suck' part is that I missed a significant chunk of episodes when I was in the hospital eight months ago. Luckily, SciFi replayed a lot of episodes today in a marathon and I was able to at least watch some of them and tape two when I had to leave to go to dialysis.

Too Close to Home This Time
This time, it's too close to home for my tastes. This is something that I do not like posting about.
I heard about this from family back east only a few days ago. I haven't heard of any updates - yet. That's a good thing at the moment - no calls telling me that Shelby has gotten worse.
If you're into praying for people, I think that Shelby could use all the help he can get.
As I find out more, I'll post updates.

You know that I spent 8 years in that area. Tuscaloosa and B'ham have some of the best ortho hospitals in the country (hard to believe, isn't it??). They're good people there...and I can promise that he's getting the best care. They take care of their police officers extremely well in Alabama.
I personally had ortho surgery at one of those hospitals and the care was the best I have ever had (given my health issues, that's saying a lot) Small comfort...but meant with a lot of love and support.
Call anytime...love all of you.
