Even though I'm not 100% Conservative, I worried that I'd be lumped in with Ted or Hillary.
I wasn't - I scored a 32, somewhere between Jack Kemp and Bob Dole.

See man, I knew we had something in common. I scored a 31. I grew up (more or less) a Democrat in Mississippi with some Republican influences from the national level, like President Reagan. The Democrat party I remember is nothing like today's. My local political influences come from folks like John Stennis, Sonny Montgomery, and Mike Espy. You won't find that type of Democrat in the party today, not really since the late eighties. Now you call them centerist Republicans.
|| Posted by kilabe, August 28, 2004 01:31 AM ||I grew up in the South too, not to mention that my mother was a raging Democrat/Liberal; there was a touch of influence from her growing up.
But, I'm a recovering Democrat and I'm in a 12-step program....lol.

Just kidding. ;)
|| Posted by Mad Mikey, August 28, 2004 06:34 PM ||Got a 24, just a tick under Papa Bush. I woulda guessed that's about where I'd land.
Interesting questions.
|| Posted by The Other Mike S., August 28, 2004 11:19 PM ||What did you score d?
|| Posted by kilabe, August 29, 2004 12:16 AM ||Interesting quiz... obviously biased though, as it left out several possible options and narrowed many answers to one of two similar responses, from a "lefty" perspective, that it. Nonetheless, I scored an 11. Maybe that was because I said I trusted the USPS more than the Pentagon?
|| Posted by scroff, August 29, 2004 08:21 PM ||Wel, I'm a close one to Scroff. I got a 10, and that was too high for my liking.
|| Posted by ruthie, August 29, 2004 10:00 PM ||28 - somewhere between Bush the elder and Dole. I can live with dat.
where the hell have you been, d? can work possibly be more compelling than your important work as the resident moonbat? (ya know I don't really think you're a moonbat... just the yin to our yangs.)
|| Posted by nathaile, August 30, 2004 12:31 AM ||Scroff,
You trust the post office more than you trust the pentagon. Think about it bro, if there is one gov't agency that knows the most about you its the USPS. What kind of catalogs you get, when you go on vacation, when you recieve your checks. The pentagon that I know doesn't even know when THEY are on vacation.
|| Posted by kilabe, August 30, 2004 01:55 AM ||I got a 27, between Bush I and Kemp. Fairly conservative.

|| Posted by ruthie, August 30, 2004 11:20 AM ||Since we don't get money by mail, and I could give a shit who knows what catalogs I like, and we plan vacations ourselves, who cares. The post office doesn't get me paranoid.
Also, I've got nothing to hide...at all. But that's not the point. The gov't needs to stay out of people's personal business, whether it's library records, book store reciepts, or my political leanings.
The Pentagon however, is a scary place. We aren't talking paranoia here. They can and do infiltrate anything they want to..in the name of safety and security. Give me a break.
The pentagon is a den of iniquity. They are liars at the top gov't, levels.
This administration is beyond dishonest. It's a regular House of Horrors, and the white House has turned into The Blight House
The pentagon that I know doesn't even know when THEY are on vacation.
Well, there ya go Kilabe. I agree. The problem is that these guys have all the weapons, and if they don't even know when they're on vacation, that's cause for concern. Also consider that Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence Boykin is a religious freak... the Defense Intelligence Agency has recently been given the go-ahead to ignore the Privacy Act (can you say cointelpro?), Rumsfeld may or may not have had his own "Cabal" within the "Office of Special Plans" (?). And there's more, but I have to get back to work. Home for lunch.
These are the guys I should trust, because they don't even know their ass from their elbow? That makes it even worse. The post office I know doesn't keep records of what catalogs I get, the Pentagon is trying to get that info into MATRIX.

|| Posted by Mrs "T", December 2, 2004 10:50 PM ||Do you know how I can find his e-mail? I think he is a nice guy who was done a bad deal to by the Clintons to cover up much worse crimes. Even tho it is several years later, I want to tell him what a nice guy I think he was & even hoped he could become secretary of Ag again to finish his job that was so rudely interrupted!
Thanx!!
