OMG....could this clown get any more deranged?
GORE: CIGARETTE SMOKING 'SIGNIFICANT' CONTRIBUTOR TO GLOBAL WARMINGThis is beyond stupid. So stupid in fact, that I'm nominating Al Gore for the Butt Monkey Launcher of the Week.Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore warned hundreds of U.N. diplomats and staff on Thursday evening about the perils of climate change, claiming: Cigarette smoking is a "significant contributor to global warming!"
Gore, who was introduced by Secretary-General Kofi Annan, said the world faces a "full-scale climate emergency that threatens the future of civilization on earth."
Gore showed computer-generated projections of ocean water rushing in to submerge the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, parts of China, India and other nations, should ice shelves in Antarctica or Greenland melt and slip into the sea.
"The planet itself will do nicely, thank you very much what is at risk is human civilization," Gore said. After a series of Q& A with the audience, which had little to do with global warming and more about his political future, Annan bid "adios" to Gore.
Then, Gore had his staff opened a stack of cardboard boxes to begin selling his new book, "An Inconvenient Truth, The Planetary Emergency of Global Warming and What We Can Do About It," $19.95, to the U.N. diplomats.
Developing...
Hell - my 12-year old daughter knows that smoking is bad and even she realizes the 'smoking-Nazi' stuff is beyond stupid.
Honestly, I'm waiting for that small aspect of the 'global warming' crowd to bring back the notion that because most people eat meat that all of the cows on the planet significantly contribute to the problem because of all the methane they release.
And it'll shortly be followed by a global effort to reduce farting in public.
Just wait for it.

Okey I have a question for mikey on a other website I was on it says your only 26 but here it says you have a 12 year old daughter and that would mean she was born when you were 14. What the hell is going on here.
|| Posted by nikki, September 30, 2006 02:41 PM ||Other web site?
I have no idea what you're talking about.
The 'About Me' section on the right-hand side says I'm a thirty-something U.S. Navy veteran and that still stands. In fact, I'll be edging closer towards 40 this month.
So, to sum up: I'm in my late-30s and my 12-year old daughter was born when I was 27-years old. Mkay?

Yeah I know, right? I mean, GOP congressmen sending messages to underage boys (ya know, the ones who write laws about that kind of stuff and preach on their moral high ground) has NOTHING on Gore talking about global warming.
I mean, Gore, what a psychopath. Typical being a VP of a guy who lied about a blowjob in officer. I mean, these guys need to take cues from how family value oriented God dearing christians handle themselves. Tom DeLay is a perfect example of that.
|| Posted by nunya, October 3, 2006 06:02 PM ||Um.....yeah, right.
|| Posted by Mad Mikey, October 3, 2006 07:19 PM ||I am curious, mikey - why don't you ever mention the scandles going on in the GOP? Where is the mention of Foley? Where are mentions of the leaks in the Bush Administration? Where is any mentions of Tom DeLay's debacle?
Are you THAT much of a party faithful that you are turing a blind one to everything that is going on? Are you still going to buy into their BS that they are the party of values and morals?
|| Posted by nunya, October 4, 2006 02:14 PM ||The Foley stuff isn't interesting to me.
If the guy was IMing Pages with sexual stuff, then he should have been investigated. Sorry, but I don't think it's something to foam-at-the-mouth about.
Additionally, there's still too much happening and the smoke hasn't cleared. Even if I were to jump on the bandwagon about this, it's still too early to start making arguments based on the info available.
And I'm not a 'party faithful' - I changed my party affiliation a few months back.

Kinda like Bush did with the Iraq war, huh?
And yes it is something to foam at the mouth about because the GOP knew about this for quite a while. When other congressmen told the pages "Just look out for Foley, he is very friendly with the pages" doesn't that tell you something?
I mean, I am sure you were real quick to jump all over Clinton for lying about a blow job. But yet, none of this shit the GOP is getting caught for is "interesting" to you. I bet if this were a democrat you would be all over it.
|| Posted by nunya, October 5, 2006 10:14 AM ||I mean, I am sure you were real quick to jump all over Clinton for lying about a blow job.
To be honest - I was supporting Clinton back when that was all that anyone talked about.
At the time, I couldn't understand what Monica had to do with the Whitewater investigation. I did fault Clinton for lying, but overall, I was a good Democrat that looked past it.
And if this guy was a Democrat.....I dunno if I'd be all over it. Frankly, there are too many little blips like this popping up and the only thing that IMO explains it is that it is nearing election time and both sides will be digging up anything to see if it sticks to the walls.
|| Posted by Mad Mikey, October 5, 2006 04:18 PM ||Stick to the walls? Digging uo dirt? WHat Tom DeLay did. What Duke Cunningham did. What Foley did. All the outright lies and misinformation and mishandling of information the Bush Administration has done are not just little bones in the cloest. There are full blown corpses.
And changing your party affiliation from republican to libertarian is like going from the nazi party to the facist party.
You want to help fix things? Put the checks and balnces back into the 3 branches of government. Takkw the ruling party out and go back to a real balance of power.
|| Posted by nunya, October 5, 2006 04:36 PM ||Oh please - these are not indicative of President Bush. Only President Bush is indicative of President Bush.
I could go back and dig up all sorts of incidents like these where a Dem was at the center of it, but it wouldn't prove squat.
Cunningham got what he deserved as I'm sure that Foley will too. Tom DeLay? I believe that that whole mess went away.
And switching to Libertarian? Hardly. Go back into the archives and find that post and read it - my party affiliation is NONE.
|| Posted by Mad Mikey, October 6, 2006 05:38 PM ||Tom DeLay? I believe that that whole mess went away.
Of course it idd, he resigned in disgrace and decided not to re-run. But it really isn't over for him. Resigning does not absolve him of the criminal charges. Face it, the GOP has proven to be he greater of the two evils.
|| Posted by nunya, October 9, 2006 11:28 AM ||So why did you jump ship? It certainly wasn't because you still beleive the GOP and BushCo is doing such a fantastic job (you can head over to dogsnot for that argument).
