Roberts Confirmed to be Supreme Court JusticeHere's the breakdown of the vote:WASHINGTON — John Glover Roberts Jr., (search) has been confirmed as the 17th chief justice of the United States.
The Senate voted 78 to 22 in favor of sending Roberts to be the top judge of the land Thursday as President Bush's selection to replace the late William H. Rehnquist (search). It was the first vote for a Supreme Court justice in 11 years.

Lookit who voted NAY. The usual suspects. Bayh, Boxer, Clinton, Durbin, Kennedy, Kerry, Obama, Reid, Schumer... These guys are the most irrelevant people (and this vote proves it) yet they get the most face time on the cable news.
