Now I know that this is from FrontPageMag, so some might not consider it as even slightly credible. Pluse, the quote mentions that the HEROES Act passed the House and not the Senate; it's a little weird that Edwards would try to doink around with legislation in the House of Representatives when he's a Senator. Maybe he put a 'secret hold' on the Senate's version of the HEROES Act before the two versions were hooked up in committee?And this is the same John Edwards who had the audacity, in his speech at the Democratic Convention, to paint a picture of a military wife struggling to pay the bills while her husband is stuck on extended duty in Iraq. Last year, Edwards personally put a “secret hold” on a bill called the HEROES Act that would waive student-loan payments for soldiers fighting overseas, so he could attach an amendment to it and take the credit. Edward’s staff initially denied, then admitted, that he had put a hold on the popular legislation, which passed the house 421-1.
Actually, this doesn't surprise me considering that Kerry had to search for the 'perfect' candidate to run on his ticket. He/she had to be a hypocrite just like Kerry.
