It's a good thing that the 'world' isn't eligible to vote here in November.
From the International Herald Tribune: Global poll shows a Kerry landslide
If the world could cast a vote in the United States presidential election, John Kerry would beat George W. Bush by a landslide, according to a poll released on Wednesday that is described as the largest sample of global opinion on the race. The part I laughed at was this:"It is absolutely clear that John Kerry would win handily if the people of the world could vote," said Steve Kull, director of The Program on International Policy Attitudes of the University of Maryland, a co-sponsor of the survey. "It is rather striking that just one in five people surveyed around the world support the re-election of President Bush.
The most negative attitude toward the U.S. came from France, Germany and Mexico, where roughly 80 percent of those surveyed thought that the foreign policies of President Bush had made them feel worse about the United States.Huh....France wasn't singing this tune back in 1944 when it was liberated from the Germans, who likewise weren't saying jack during the Cold War when the United States & NATO kept them from being taught Russian with a cattle prod. And Mexico? What a bunch of tools: 'We hate the Americans and what they do, but we want to live in Denver. In addition to presidential preferences, the poll also inquired about people's views on U.S. foreign policy.
It's so nice to know that some cultures have the moral center-of-gravity to make such judgmental calls like these....

What this is saying is that they love America but hate the administration.
Lots of us feel that way.

But oh, what a shocker that the damn frogs would want The Frenchurian Candidate over Bush!
I don't get the Left. Kerry is going on and on about his 3 purple hearts, yet he trounced the soldiers that were there. Don't they see this as incongruent?

|| Posted by scroff, September 10, 2004 03:18 PM ||Care to show me, verbatim, where Kerry "trounced" the soldiers who were in Vietnam? I'd be interested in seeing that. After all, it might sway my vote for Kerry.
